Day Habilitation offers: Choir that volunteers at nursing homes, churches, and other special events. Special Olympics (bowling, volleyball, basketball, and softball). Work program (In-house and in the community). Recreational outings, Computer room, Life skills class, Exercise classes, Music classes, and art classes.
Medicaid pays for most of the consumer care, but Social Security or SSI pays for Room & Board. In some cases, Food Stamps can be applied for to cover the food bill.
HCS consumers cannot be billed for above the rates given by THHSC.
-Consumers with private funding are welcome to join the program
-All non-waiver services must be utilized before HCS pays for additional services.
Enrollment is accessed through the MHMRA in the county in which the individual resides.
Each county has a waiting list of individuals to receive their funding. Individuals are assigned a registration date. Current waiting time is 10-12 years in the HCS program.
Each individual; must be Medicaid eligible and be determined to be an individual with Intellectual Disabilities or diagnosed with related conditions.
Residential Support, Foster Companion, Supervised Living, and CFC Supported Home Living
We coordinate with the local LIDDA service coordinators for each individual service.
Respite: We offer respite (In-home/Out of Home).
Full Time Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work, Supported Employment, Dietary Services, Dental, Minor Home Modifications, Transportations, and Adaptive Aids.
